At it's last general meeting of the year on Wednesday, Dec. 11, the Wayne State University Board of Governors unanimously approved an exciting new academic initiative. The doctorate in integrative neuroscience program – also known as INSPIRE – will launch in fall 2025 and will be located in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Designed to tackle some of today's most pressing challenges in neuroscience, INSPIRE represents a bold, interdisciplinary approach to education and research, combining expertise from biology, psychology, engineering and other disciplines.

ScholarBuild was created to serve as the official front page of the educational landscape. Our platform was also created to capture all the interesting news and developing stories at high schools and colleges from region to region. Lastly, ScholarBuild was created by students for students.

The Distinguished Alumnus Award honors alumni whose exceptional achievements and service have brought honor and distinction to the college. Distinguished Alumnus recipients from each college were also recognized at a universitywide lunch hosted by the NC State Alumni Association during Red and White Week.

The nine federally recognized Tribes in Oregon and Oregon State University have worked together to build a university facility to facilitate the repatriation and return of tribal Ancestors and cultural items currently under the university's stewardship.

The University of Arizona Dean of Students Office has issued a Loss of Recognition status to Pi Kappa Phi due to its investigation into allegations of hazing violating the Student Code of Conduct.

Following its investigation, the Dean of Students Office found Pi Kappa Phi responsible for violating the University Code of Conduct prohibitions related to alcohol (including furnishing alcohol to minors), conduct endangering others, hazing, and state or federal law violations.

Weber State University continues to expand its green energy production capabilities with the completion of a second solar array covered parking lot on the Ogden campus.

More than 1,000 solar panels were installed on top of the new covered structure over the existing public pay lot. Construction on the lot began in late spring and will finish in mid-December. The pay lot is centrally located near the Student Services Center, Shepherd Union and Val A. Browning Center.

Virginia State University is proud to announce that Azurest South, also known as the Alumni House, has been designated as one of the country's newest National Historic Landmarks (NHLs). Azurest South was among 19 new NHL designations announced by U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland. An NHL designation is the highest federal recognition of a property's historical, architectural, or archeological significance.
