Philander Smith University (PSU) proudly announces that Ms. Jamaica S. Hall, a senior psychology major, has been selected as a 2024 White HBCU Initiative Scholar. Each year, the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Development selects scholars from among the nation’s finest institutions. This program recognizes outstanding students and further empowers them with tools for excellence. Together, the students comprise the next generation of HBCU leaders who will boost educational excellence, innovation, and economic competitiveness.
It's always exciting when Syracuse University competes against Duke University. But, this time it wasn't on the basketball court. Three students from the Whitman School of Management traveled to the Duke campus in November to compete in the final round of the 12th Annual 2024 Energy in Emerging Markets Case Competition against teams from Duke; Alliance Manchester Business School from the United Kingdom; and York University and McGill University from Canada. The Orange came home with the win—and a $10,000 first place prize.
